Task 1a: Professional Profile

After looking through many different profiles seeing how people have undertaken this task, I began looking at my CV and marking the most important facts that employers will most probably want to see. I then completely reformatted my layout using tables to easily get my information across effectively. With a vital statistics box under my headshot to help make it quick and easy to see for possible employers where appearance is extremely important in the performing arts industry.

After several attempts at improving this I also created a 2nd CV for my promotional work experience. I have found promotion work is a great flexible way to earn money when I have not had performing contracts.

I have summarised this for my ‘About Me’ section of my Blog which will be continually updated and improved along the way. Please find below the link for my Professional performing CV.

  1. The blog CV has a good feel to it - your have talked about your experience and your aspirations. This is essentially a learning blog but is the learning blog of a professional. There are some good blogs out there these days - so I googled a few… many are a combination of journalism editorials and communities of practice (Lave and Wenger's theory that we cover in networking) - so worth googling to find ones that you like to help influence your own blog.
A few I liked for various reasons - I'm sure you can find more:
