My Showreel

Since graduating in 2011 I have been asked many times from casting directors if I have a showreel, after my 1st contract on the Regent Navigator ship and from college shows I managed to collect enough clips to show a range of my performance and technical skills, I used 'Imovie' software on my Mac to create a showreel which I then uploaded publicly on YouTube to share. This has been a fantastic way for myself to get work as quite often casting directors don't have long to cast for a show and when auditions aren't always possible having a showreel has enabled me to get work.

Please find my showreel attached below...

Flickr

I'm a keen user of social media sites like Instagram, Youtube and Facebook, I have created a Flickr account so I can share my professional dance shots on my blog and also send a link when applying for jobs. It will help give possible employers a quick and easy way to see my appearance and body shape for casting.

Task 1a: Professional Profile

After looking through many different profiles seeing how people have undertaken this task, I began looking at my CV and marking the most important facts that employers will most probably want to see. I then completely reformatted my layout using tables to easily get my information across effectively. With a vital statistics box under my headshot to help make it quick and easy to see for possible employers where appearance is extremely important in the performing arts industry.

After several attempts at improving this I also created a 2nd CV for my promotional work experience. I have found promotion work is a great flexible way to earn money when I have not had performing contracts.

I have summarised this for my ‘About Me’ section of my Blog which will be continually updated and improved along the way. Please find below the link for my Professional performing CV.
