Well yesterday was an experience, after travelling up to London through
stormy weather and navigating myself (and very large suitcase!) through the
tube transport system, I finally arrived for my 1st campus session at Middlesex
University.
It was great meeting everyone and finding out what stages they were in this process.
What an eye opening day it was, talking to a range of different aged people on the
course and finding out about there current jobs and ambitions for the future.
We did a brainstorming task in small groups to define the word 'Love,’ we used
a spider web to come up with idea's which we shared amongst everyone.
This led me to think about my pathway of how I have got to this current stage
in my life. Like the tube journey and 'Love' task in the session, I thought of what
a spider’s web of things I have achieved since graduating from performing arts
school 3 years ago.
How naive I was starting then in the professional world of the arts, I've
learnt so much since then and have been lucky enough to travel around the world
with different dance and musical theatre contracts networking and making
incredible friendships.
I really believe that experience and travelling is a fundamental part of
progressing in the industry, where from job to job I have been learning and
growing in my skills. I'm very excited to be part of this course after having a
good incite on what to expect and now my mind is bubbling with ideas I want to
share on my blog.
